While dad turned his head for 2 seconds, Tess decided to roll over for the first time on her own and fell off our bed. She hit her head and nose on the nightstand. The new mom and dad rushed her to a friend's office who is an EMT and then another friend who is a Dr. with a local practice. The good Dr. watched her for a while and said she officially has a "Smith head", significantly oversized and extremely hard. You can see a little of the bruise on her head, but it has healed very quickly. It looked horrible Friday when it happened. Her nose appears to have taken the brunt of it.
Tess: "Hey Dad, PAY ATTENTION!!!"

Tess, I told you that one day the Smith head would come in handy, believe me your daddy tested my noggin a couple of times with different golfing items to see if my head was hard. I think that it came out just fine in all the testing! But if he lets it happen again to you, i'll kick his rearend!
